IPOH, 22 DECEMBER 2023 – As part of the concerted efforts by the Perak State
Government to invigorate the tourism sector, Tourism Perak Management Berhad
(TPMB) has embarked on a strategic collaboration with Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”). This partnership was officially announced through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing, with the aim of leveraging Canon’s technological prowess to showcase Perak’s cultural and natural allure.
The MOA signing ceremony took place on 22 December 2023 at Kafe Lakeview, Tasik
Cermin 2, Ipoh, Perak. The event was graced by key representatives, including Miss Nurmalis binti Musa, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak Management
Berhad, and Mr. Shunji Yoshikai, President and CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia.
Under this groundbreaking collaboration, Canon will play a pivotal role as the strategic partner and sponsor for TPMB’s “Visit Perak Year 2024” campaign. Beyond traditional sponsorship, this partnership will encompass joint initiatives such as workshops, competitions, and the provision of Canon cameras as prizes, reflecting a shared commitment to rejuvenating Perak’s tourism sector.
Nurmalis Musa, CEO of TPMB, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Together with Canon, we aim to captivate audiences worldwide and invite travelers to
experience the treasures Perak has to offer. This collaboration signifies a unified effort to promote Perak’s beauty.”
Shunji Yoshikai, President and CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia, echoed this
sentiment, stating, “We are eager to work hand-in-hand with TPMB to showcase Perak’s charm and allure to the world. The signing of the MOA embodies our corporate philosophy of ‘Kyosei’, which emphasizes living and working harmoniously for the common good. It is through collaborative efforts that we strive to not only showcase the beauty of Perak
but also to contribute positively to the communities and environments we touch upon.”
Beyond the creative collaborations, this partnership presents tangible benefits. TPMB will provide advertising space on its owned media as well as engagement opportunities through events and familiarization trips. In parallel, Canon will co-promote TPMB’s initiatives and provide TPMB with cutting-edge photography equipment, thereby elevating the visual narrative of “Visit Perak Year 2024.” The synergy will not only amplify the
impact of contributions by both parties but also underscore the profound value generated through this partnership.
This collaboration is poised to not only optimize resources but also elevate the success rate of the “Visit Perak Year 2024” Campaign.
