MFMPA Unveils Inaugural Non-Commercial Awards – Celebrating Excellence

The Malaysia Fashion, Modeling, Pageant Association (MFMPA) is set to make history with the launch of its first-ever Non-Commercial Awards on February 29, 2024, at MATIC (Malaysia Tourism Centre) Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. This groundbreaking event aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals in the Fashion, Modeling, and Pageant industries.
The event will applaud both current and past contributors who have left an enduring impact on the industry. Furthermore, it will shine a spotlight on emerging talents, identifying potential stars who are poised to make a mark in these dynamic fields. The awards have garnered significant support, endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), along with its agencies Tourism Malaysia and the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).
Established in 2020, the MFMPA Awards have been a platform to honor and recognize the achievements of individuals in the Fashion, Modeling, and Pageant industries. Past events have seen the likes of Tuan Zulkifly Bin Md Said, CEO of Finas, and Prof. Dr. Md Nasir gracing the launches in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
The event distinguishes itself with a unique emblem—a symbolic eagle representing strength and grace in the dynamic tapestry of achievement. The transformative mission of the awards goes beyond traditional acknowledgment, acting as a catalyst for transformation and empowering individuals to reach new heights. It also pays tribute to the unsung heroes behind the scenes, leaving an indelible mark on the horizon of success.
As nominations for the 4th MFMPA are now open, the categories include Fashion, Modeling, Pageant, Event Space, Makeup, Hairstylist, Media, PR Agency, Production House, Graphic Designer, Choreograph, Actors, and Entertainment-related sectors. The Ministry and its agencies, consistently endorsing MFMPA since 2020, aim to encourage ongoing contributions to the nation and enhance local tourism, culture, and the entertainment industry through collaboration.
The distinguished panel of judges for the upcoming awards includes industry icons such as Mr. Bon Zainal, Ms. Amber Chia, Carrie Lee, Datin Winnie Loo, Datin Maylene Yong, Dato Nancie Foo, Dr. Bala, Carol Lee, and Teresa Dian Chew. Notable advisors include Ybhs. Dato Kamir Othman, YBhg. Datuk Rashidi, Prof Dato Dr Shawn Loh S N, Dato Lawrence Chan, Datuk Seri Azman Ujang, and Dato Raymond Von Jolly.
