KUALA LUMPUR, MARCH 2023 – As the blessed month of Ramadan approaches with love and togetherness at its very core, and the anticipation of gathering with friends and family, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur takes the pleasure of dining, gathering and celebrating to a whole new level by artfully blending its latest campaign – The CHEFS (Culinary, Hospitality Experience & Food Showcase) programme with the spirit of Ramadan for a special and heart-warming occasion unlike any other.

Besides featuring ten of the hotel’s main culinary aces forming an eclectic mix of illustrious expertise to create exclusive gastronomic experiences at the hotel, ‘Santapan Serantau with The CHEFS depicts a wholesome lifestyle choice with well-crafted elements of the season and a representation of values and the meaning of Ramadan, while illustrating the excellent services and warm hospitality the hotels stands for at its signature restaurants – Serena Brasserie, Tao and Tatsu.

All set to delight guests looking to berbuka puasa or just to gather and celebrate, Executive Chef Hashrul Sehwan, together with his talented team have skillfully put together a sumptuous buffet spread with more than 200 dishes from all over Malaysia and other Asian countries including China and Japan, promising an exceptional dining experience for all.

“It is of utmost importance that our guests are able to savour their mealtimes and enjoy themselves in absolute confidence and complete satisfaction at our hotel. As it is always the experience that counts, ‘Santapan Serantau’ with The CHEFS heightens the entire dining experience for guests as a whole and makes dining and get-togethers here exceptional,” said Chef Hashrul.

While traditional elements are retained in the preparation of dishes, guest can also find inventive dishes like Sup Kawah Pecah Meletop (Beef Rib Soup with Potato & Carrot), Ayam Panggang Bumbu Bali Barongan (Roasted Chicken with Bali Marination Style), and Sotong Bakar Dengan Sambal Mangga (Grilled Jumbo Squid with Young Mango Paste Sauce) – among many other must-try traditional Malay dishes from the main buffet counter.

There is also a great selection of international favourites, such as Singapore Chili Crab, Tong Seng Kambing (Javanese Braised Lamb Shank in Spicy Sweet Soy Sauce), and a variety of pasta – from penne, tagliatelle, to spaghetti and Linguine to choose from.

Those looking for lighter and healthier options can toss up their own Ulam-Ulam Kampung (Kampung Greens), or savour a variety of Chinese style steamed dishes from our healthy steam corner.  Additionally, diners can pick from the newly introduced and unique Urban Farm @ ICKL section, featuring luscious, nutritious vegetables grown with zero pesticides, chemicals, and additives, sitting in water-filled trays, ready to be harvested at mealtime. This section comes with hearty condiments, dressings and drizzle.

Guests can also make their evening extra sweet with a variety of delicious desserts all beautifully plated at the dessert counter. Choose from Pandan Tiramisu, Jackfruit & Barley Porridge (Bubur Nangka Bali), a selection of Malay Kuih and many other items that are readily available to tempt.
