KidZania Kuala Lumpur reopening its doors on 18 July 2020. In conjunction with its reopening, the award-winning and highly loved indoor themed family centre is paying tribute to frontliners who fought hard to bring the Covid-19 situation in the country under control.
Frontliners, inclusive of doctors, nurses, hospital employees, police, army personnel as well as food & delivery service workers are entitled to receive one adult admission ticket each, with the option of purchasing additional tickets at a 40% discount for adults and children between the ages of 3 to 17 years old (maximum of 4 tickets only). Altogether, KidZania Kuala Lumpur will give away 10,000 tickets to frontliners, on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis which can be redeemed only one time.
The free tickets are valid for entry into KidZania Kuala Lumpur from 21 July 2020 until 30 October 2020*. To redeem the free passes, frontliners will have to contact KidZania Kuala Lumpur and make a booking by calling 1-300-13-KIDS (5439) or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. They will then receive a booking confirmation within five working days and may collect the tickets at the Airport Counter at KidZania Kuala Lumpur on their chosen date of visit, upon verification of a valid staff ID.
“We are truly excited to be opening our doors once again and cannot wait to welcome back our guests. We also wanted to take this opportunity to honour our frontliners, who took on much sacrifice and burden upon themselves to ensure our wellbeing during the Covid-19 outbreak in the country. Their contribution has been priceless, and we want to humbly recognize their efforts by giving them a free ticket each, while encouraging them to bring their loved ones by offering a considerable discount for family members,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
He also said that KidZania Kuala Lumpur will put into effect strict Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines for all employees and visitors, in order to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
Among these include detailed preparation and sanitization by staff of all establishments and areas within KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s premises. Stringent entry protocol for visitors and social distancing regulations will also be enforced, while the maximum number of people allowed within the premises will be limited at any given time. Hand sanitizers will also be strategically placed throughout the premises for guests’ use.
For a comprehensive introduction to hygiene improvement at KidZania, KidZania will include in the role play activities, the importance of good hygiene behaviours and germ education as a preventive measure from infections during this time of uncertainty.
“While we want everyone to have a great time at KidZania, we also have the responsibility to ensure they can do so in a safe environment. This is why we have invested a considerable amount of time and effort to put together a highly detailed list of SOPs and guidelines for our employees and visitors. As we will be limiting the number of visitors inside KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we would also encourage our visitors to make advanced bookings to ease their entry process,” said Shahrul.
