Shah Alam, March 2019 – Be spoilt for choice this holy month of Ramadhan; The View Café at Best Western i-City is set to cook up a storm and bring you over 160 Malaysian dishes.
From 6 May till 3 June 2019, guests can expect a promising buka puasa spread featuring all types of Malaysian delicacies comprising appetizers, salads, soups, main dishes, desserts, show stalls offering live cooking and Malaysian’s very own treasure, the durian kampung.
Start your breaking fast journey by savoring the many varieties of soup such as the Sup Kambing Berempah Mamak, Seafood Tomyam, Sup Lobak Putih Udang Kering, Crabmeat and Corn Soup, Cream of Mushroom, Lotus Roots with Herbs, Soto Madura and many more. A selection of delectable main dishes await you, starting with the Kari Kepala Ikan, Daging Masak Hitam, Mutton Varuval, Ayam Masak Berempah, Udang Sambal Tumis Petai, Baked Honey Pumpkin, Lamb Shoulder with Mint Creamy Sauce, Teriyaki Honey Beef, Kambing Lada Hitam, Irish lamb Stew, Beef Stroganoff, Bamboo Clam with Chilli, Steamed Fish Teochew Style, the list is just endless.
There are 13 show stations offering live cooking such as Rojak Campur, Okonomiyaki, Teppanyaki, Shawarma, Pasta Station, Bolognaise, Lala Meat Char Kuey Teow, Ikan Bakar, Lamb Shoulder, Sliced Beef, Otak-otak, Yong Tau Foo, Murtabak and Arabic Marinated Roasted Whole Lam.
Those with a sweet tooth may dig in to assorted desserts such as Ice-Cream, Malay Kuih, Bread and Butter Pudding, French Pastries, Assorted Mousse, Jelly, Chocolate Fountain, Baklava, Tapai Dodol and many more goodies.
At the hotel lobby sits a miniature Rumah Melayu’, transporting guests back to their childhood memories. The pelita, buluh and ‘lemang’ over a makeshift ‘fire’ depicts the scene of a typical ‘Malay Kampung’, The drapes on the ceiling and also at The View Café adds on some Arabic touch to the theme.
