Zoo Negara Animal Adoption Program

The ‘Adopt An Animal’ program is an existing and on-going initiative aimed to help raise funds for the health, enrichment, veterinary care and welfare of the wildlife in our care, a common practice by zoological parks all over the globe.
Zoo Negara is managed by a non-governmental organization, so every ringgit counts. Each time you visit one of our exhibits, contribute, or buy from our kiosks, you’re helping us to protect wildlife. Life goes inside the zoo as our animals still need the same food and care we always give them. Our expert veterinary staffs are carefully monitoring all animals in our care, like we always do everyday.
Feeding our animals family costs about RM400,000.00 per month or RM4.8 million per year! Currently we have sufficient supplies for our animals and essential care, as our nutrition staff and keepers will continue to provide the excellent care for our animals as always. Zoo Negara really appreciate the overwhelming support and love of all Malaysians during this tough time by making donation to through ‘Adopt An Animal’ program.
We do not want to imagine worst case scenarios, because it will not only impact our staff losing their livelihood, our animals may also be facing a grim future because they are too accustomed to humans. Our team is still working hard to attend to the emails and enquiry on daily basis, despite the fact that they are working from their home.
As an outdoor space, Zoo Negara Malaysia encourages the public to visit us once the Government allows us to open our gates again. As long as you and your family are feeling healthy and are not in self-isolation, it’s a great chance to spend some time with our amazing wildlife. The health of our visitors, staff, and animals is our highest priority. We need your support now more than ever and hope to see you soon.
