PERAK … ADVENTURE TOURISM FRIENDLY DESTINATION

IPOH, 28 December 2020: In line with the government’s intention to brand Malaysia as the Top of The Mind Ecotourism Destination of the World through the National Tourism Policy 2020-2030, Tourism Perak took the immediate initiative by organising the Adventure Tourism @ Perak FAM Trip program.

This 3 day 2 night program involves the participation of 30 media practitioners, representatives of travel agencies, adventure associations and expatriates. Through this program, participants have the opportunity to explore various adventure tourism activities at Sunway Lost World Of Tambun, Gua Tempurung, Kellie’s Castle, TT5 and several other tourist attractions in Perak.

According to Nurmalis Musa, CEO of Tourism Perak, to respond to the government’s recommendation in ensuring that the tourism sector continues to be able to drive the country’s economic growth.

 “It is our  responsibility to balance the development , preservation and preservation of national treasures including the environment, culture and heritage through planned and effective promotional programs such as this Adventure Tourism @ Perak Fam Trip program,” said Nurmalis Musa.

She added that to ensure the development of tourism products is always sustainable, competitive and inclusive as stated in the National Tourism Policy 2020-2030, Tourism Perak is always looking for suitable opportunities  to carry out strategic cooperation with the media, travel agencies and all tourism industry activists from local and international.

Indeed, this smart collaboration between the media and Tourism Perak is a noble initiative towards responding to the government’s call and at the same time promoting adventure tourism products more comprehensively.

This program also proves that in the context of tourism by the mass media, travel agencies and state governments can unite in achieving the national mission of developing and rebuilding the tourism industry which was severely affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.
